INNERE BLUTUNGEN by Anatol Bogendorfer and Florian Sedmak is a cinematic time travel into the Salzkammergut (a mountaineous region in the northern part of Austria) of the late 60ies and early 70ies. An unconvential documentary, a juxtaposition of mostly rural everyday life stories comprised of 240 hours of private amateur documentary film, more than 2000 photographs retrieved from family photo albums, as well as stories from weekly newspapers. Life comes up with stories none of us would dare to imagine and INNERE BLUTUNGEN, which premiered as the opening film of the Crossing Europe Film Festival 2013 in Linz, is an account of what kind of stories life has in store for us.

INNERE BLUTUNGEN is the second collaboration of Anatol Bogendorfer and Florian Sedmak and as in their first, "Von Linz nach Venedig. Zu Fuß über die Alpen ans Meer", these two again use music as a dramaturgical device to convey regional identity as well as its history. Traditional folk music originating from the Salzkammergut region is counterbalanced by sounds it sometimes even directly inspired. A well-balanced musical trip from the origins (as interpreted outside of any cliche by Martin Neureiter, Gosinger Geignmusi and Ischler Seitlpfeifer) to the abstract and delicate electronic soundscapes by Andreas Kurz - with a short stop at the middle grounds: a polyphonic "Jodler" for guitar by Florian Sedmak.
